SUPPORTING THE QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGH
THE ENHANCEMENT OF OUR CITY PARKS

WHO WE ARE

The Park Foundation of Waukesha, Inc. was established in 2008 for the purpose of helping to preserve and enrich the quality of life in Waukesha through the enhancement of city parks, trails, recreation programs and urban forest. This Foundation has an established fund within the Waukesha County Community Foundation. In 2009, The Park Foundation of Waukesha, Inc. was presented the opportunity to manage and operate the Trailbreaker Marathon event. This event is a regionally recognized running event, offering a United States Association of Track and Field certification for the marathon course, an alternate marathon course, the half-marathon course, 10K and 5K course. Proceeds from this race and general contributions in the last nine years have resulted in over $200,000 being invested back into the community to help Waukesha become a better place to live, work, and play.

The Park Foundation of Waukesha, Inc. is managed by a Board of Directors of up to thirteen people, with opportunities to serve on three committees: Development Committee, Trailbreaker Event Committee, and Finance/Audit Committee.

The Park Foundation of Waukesha, Inc. offers opportunities for sponsors and volunteers to become involved with events, fundraising, awareness, and outreach. As you consider giving back to your community, we have several opportunities for you and your family to give of your time, resources and energy to help this organization grow and increase its effectiveness in our City.
